Democritus University of Thrace, Greece (DUTH)

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of DUTH was founded in 1975, in Xanthi, Greece. Since then the Department has grown steadily to become one of the largest and most well-known Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Greece. The Internetworking and Security Laboratory now includes 3 Faculty Members, 1 technician, 1 administrative assistant and 17 engineers. The Lab has already undertaken activities and research projects (e.g. Extending Internet into Space, funded by ESA), organized conferences and administered various projects. The group is active in ESA projects aiming at the transition of CCSDS protocols to IP-based Protocols. DUTH has also participated in ESA missions (ULYSSES NASA/ESA mission, GEOTAIL ISAS mission, MARS-96 mission).

DUTH will lead WP1 (Management), WP2 (System Requirements) and WP3 (Implementation of DTN overlay).
